F-gases harmful to the environment

Conventional refrigerants, such as R404A, R22 and R507A and to a lesser extent R134a, R407 and R410, are harmful to the environment. Fluorocarbon-based gases (F-gases) have a warming effect that is as much as 23,000 times stronger than CO2.

European Legislation on phasing out

R404A and R507 refrigerant

Do you have an installation with R404A or R507? From January 1st 2020, you may only top up your installation with recycled R404A or R507. From January 1st 2030, the use of these refrigerants is completely prohibited. Prevent stagnation in your production process due to shortage of these refrigerants. Phasing out refrigerant R22

Quite a number of old refrigeration systems are still using the refrigerant R22 (Freon22®). This HCFs is depleting the ozone layer and is a major contributor to the greenhouse effect. The European Commission decided to phase out and ban the use of R22. Since 2015 it is not allowed to use any R22 service refrigerants or service refrigerants mixed with R22.

R22, R401A, R402A and R408

The refrigerants R401A, R402A and R408 are mixed forms that, in addition to HFCs, also contain R22. Because the use of R22 has been prohibited since January 1, 2015, the above mentioned refrigerants are also prohibited. Would you like to switch to sustainable refrigerants? R134A, R407C, R407F and R410A

Synthetic refrigerants with a GWP value <2,500 fall under a production limitation. This applies to the commonly used refrigerants R134A, R407C, R407F and R410A. In 2030, only 20% of the currently produced synthetic refrigerants can be sold.
