Marc Verschure took over the 35 year old company 12 years ago. "We work together with shipping companies," he explains. "The cargo is stored in our warehouse, we load up the containers and on the islands the cargo goes into our warehouses to be distributed locally."
Allways Transport
On the Caribbean islands Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao, there is always a demand for products from the non-Caribbean parts of The Kingdom of the Netherlands. Allways Transport in Dordrecht is a link in the chain keeping the islands supplied.
In an effort to expand their services and conquer a unique position in the market, Marc had a freezer built by Vink. "Thanks to the freezer we can supply supermarkets on the islands with frozen products."
A custom freezer warehouse was completed. With an interior space of 18 by 13 by 10 metres, it adds storage capacity with room for growth. An extra space in the front acts like an airlock. This prevents moisture from entering the main freezer space.
The installation runs on the natural refrigerant Co2, making it more energy efficient. On top of that, Allways qualified for the Energy Investment Allowance, making the choice for Co2 financially beneficial.
Vink monitors the installation from their headquarters in Bergambacht. Here they can see exactly what's going on in the installation. This way malfunctions can be solved from a distance, or even be prevented completely.
